My 99 montero sport was making this exact noise and loosing pressure as i pressed the accelerator them it shut down on me? Do you know what this could be?

thats fantastic!!!!!! i hope mine goes that long. im at 155k with my 2000 accord. say, when you let go of the gas do your rpms sort of bounce. like they go down to 1k then come back up? mine used to do it, but my idle i think was put up a tad because it doesnt do it anymore.

No rebuilds just regular maintenance. I got this car with 258 miles brand new. It's on it's 3rd timing belt, 2nd distributor, 4th set of spark plugs and wires 5th serpentine belt and a few transmission flushes. That's all I can think of but the car has never left me stranded

my exact car except interior is the black onyx stripe option and paint is the pearl white. Its pretty much a white boys cadillac lol. And with a 270 watt factory stereo, you dont need an amp to push much on your subs
